Carol Service
The annual carol service took place this week. The service was led by the Rev. Denis McCarthy and the Rev. Wesley Campbell. There was a great sense of the Christmas spirit about the place and everyone took to the carol singing with gusto. A huge thank you to Mrs. Good for organising the service and to Mr Crosbie for preparing the choir as well as Ms. Antoinette Baker who did a fantastic job on the piano. A special thank you must also go to guest soloist Mrs. Michelle De Faubert.
The service saw a great turnout and the Christmas spirit of giving was especially evident in the extremely generous donations made to local charities ABC (Aid Bandon Children) and the Bandon Community Hospital. The donations were received by Mr. Noel O'Sullivan on behalf of ABC and Mrs. Kearney on behalf of the Community Hospital.
Hockey
The first year girls league finished this week, with a 3-0 win against St. Angelas in horrible wet and cold conditions. Marie Dineen scored twice with captain Jenny Buttimer grabbingthe other. Also on the same day our Senior A girls beat Laurel Hill 3-1 and the Junior A team lost 2-1 against the same opposition.

Our senior team lost out 14-0 to Midleton in the Senior Cup this week in what proved to be a tough game played in poor conditions. We wish Midleton the best in the next round of the competition.
