Ski Trip

This years Transition Year ski trip took place between January 29th and February 5th, in beautiful Andalo in Northern Italy.

A fantastic week was had by all as this years crew took the slopes with great enthusiasm. By the end of the week every single student was skiing extremely well.

Apres ski also went down very well from swimming to ice skating to the disco.

It is amazing to watch students gel together as a group, making new friends and forging bonds that will carry them through their Leaving Cert and beyond as a group. This years trip again saw the students get in the spirit from the very start and was as amazingly successful as always.

Well done to all involved on a fantastic week.

A special thank you must go to the organiser of the trip Mr. Warren who again put in an astonishing amount of work to make this trip happen.

Rugby

Our under 17 Boys took part in a 10 a side tournament on Wednesday 8th Feb against Pres and Christians. The event held in CIT proved to be a great success for Bandon Grammar.

In our first game against a PBC/CBC mixed team BGS came out on top by 2-0 and in our second game against CBC's full team we won again by the same scoreline. Despite losing the final game 3-2 to PBC Bandon Grammar had done enought to secure top spot in the group in what must be considered a memorable victory.

 

Our first year boys took PBC on in Cork last week and recorded an impressive 19-12 victory. In a great team performance Gavin Coombes and Luke Kingston stood out as star performers.

 

Disco

The Valentines disco will take place next Thursday, 17th February.
