Core, Rotation and Choice Subjects

In Bandon Grammar School, we offer a wide range of subjects at Leaving Cert level to suit different student needs and interests.

  • ‘Core’ Subjects: All students study English, Maths, Irish (or alternative subject such as Biology)
  • ‘Rotation’ (non-exam) Subjects: All Senior students study the following subjects on a weekly rotation. Guidance, SPHE (Social, Personal, Health Education), Religious Education (general  education on religions, morality etc) Computers
  • Choice Subjects: Students pick 4 or 5 additional subjects that suit their best interests. You can find more detailed information on these subjects in our Guidance website.
