Well done to everyone involved in renovating our new boarding facilities. A lot of work has gone into it but a special thanks to Head of Boarding, Ms Audrey O Riordan, Mr. George Bradfield and the Board of Management. The 6th year girls have given it the seal of approval!

Well Done to Darragh Walsh!

Darragh Walsh TY is one of 35 people from the island of Ireland to be on Seanad na Nog which will be going to the Senate on 10th Nov. There will be a discussion on youth improvements in Ireland and will get to vote on a topic that will be discussed at the Senate.

First Yr Boy’s Blitz

3 first year boy’s teams played 21 games in beautiful sunshine in Midleton College today. They won more games than they lost and scored lots of goals..well done to all..

On behalf of the Parents Association Committee (PAC), we would like to welcome you back to a new school year at BGS. We hope that you are all nicely settled back into your routine by now and enjoying the first term.
We would like to invite you to SAVE THE DATE for our Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Wednesday the 12th of October at 7:30pm. We will be holding this years PAC AGM online via Zoom with details to be provided later, closer to the date of the meeting.

Weekly Summary: Week 4, Sept 19th to 23rd

Lots of student activities now in full flow for students with a full list at the bottom of the page. We also plan on having lots of student involvement in our Open Day on Sat October 1st. Even though it was a short week, lots going on in BGS.

TY students on their first visit to Bandon Community Hospital. They will be visiting every 2 weeks. Included in the photos is the resident dog “Ivy”

TY Drama gets underway again

‘The first ever Cookery Club took place after school this week, with students mastering eggs.’
‘Form 4 Home Economics students began their module by making Morning muffins’
‘Form 3 Home Economics students used up leftover bananas, making Banana Bread’.

Chess club started up again on Wednesday 14th September with a good turnout from both Junior and Senior students.
