Academic Roll of Honour

The annual end of year School & Sports Awards have always been a big part of our school year. Sports and teaching staff select the winners and there is a Presentation Ceremony in the Sunken Garden at the end of the year. Recipients are selected to celebrate their achievements in Sport over year, but also to honour those within the pupil population who have excelled in other areas too.

Students are honoured for their selection on various national teams, and we also have Junior and Senior Sports Merit Awards, The Watson Cup, Hawkins Shield, Johnston Cup, Crowley Trophy, Giles Trophy and many more. The David Smyth Memorial Cup is awarded to our ‘Student of the Year’ after an interview process with our Guidance Counsellor, two 6th year students and a Board of Management member.

Despite being a very challenging year, 2021 has featured University College Cork and Trinity College Dublin Scholarship Winners in a wide range of areas with just a few featured below.
