2020/21 Sporting Roll of Honour
The Sporting Roll of Honour is for current and former students who have achieved at the highest level in their chosen sport. Achievements can vary between sports such as: International selection for Rugby, Basketball, Athletics or Hockey, National titles in individual sports, County selection for GAA. Despite a very challenging year for training as well as doing her Leaving Cert, Lauren was well in control on the home straight as she ran 24.45 (her heat time was 24.21, just 00.01 seconds off the qualification standard for European u20s (24.20). That time is yet another PB for her as she ran 24.66 in May against Olympian Phil Healy.
Congratulations to Gavin Coombes on the award of Munster Rugby ‘ Men’s Player of the Year’. Gavin has had a phenomenal breakthrough season with an eye-catching 15 tries in 25 appearances, scoring every 87 minutes of play on average, has elevated Gavin to elite status with Munster. He is the youngest ever winner of this title at 23.
