Talent Night
A whole school assembly was held on Tuesday March 29th in order to present the prizes for the annual talent show. A massive total of €1500 in prizes was shared among the winners.
The Talent Night was a resounding success again due to the high quality of the acts and the fantastic support each act received from an extremely lively audience.
The top prizes were awarded as follows:
1st Prize: Leah Desmond and Kerry Desmond
2nd Prize: Jessica White
3rd Prize: Matthew Brown
Well done to all involved in what was a fantastic night and a huge thank you to Mr. Crowley for all his hard work in organising and promoting talent night.
Rugby
Please note that the Mungret Cup final has been put back one week and will now take place next Friday April 8th and the venue is yet to be confirmed. More information will follow on bandongrammar.ie as it becomes available.

Science
Killian Long has been selected for the Irish Science Olympiad team in the Physics section. This is a fantastic honour for Killian and he travels to Prague with the team before Easter. We wish him all the best.

Cross Country
Congratulations to Bella Sherlock who recently competed for Ireland in the Cross Country internationals held in Northern Ireland. She put in a fantastic perfromance and continues to impress.
Leaving Cert Orals
The Irish Leaving Certificate Oral examinations take place next week from Tuesday to Friday. Best of luck to all involved!
Hockey
The first year girls team have secured the Muster First Year A legue (1A) win this week by defeating Colaiste na Toirbhirte, Bandon by 4-0.
BGS scorers were Aoife Roche, Rhiona Sedgwick, Dion Carey and Cassandra Giles. A huge congratulations to all involved.
The girls have had a remarkable record this year, winning all six of their games, scoring 12 goals and not conceding any.
Well done on a fantastic achievement!
Horse Riding
Heather Murray-Good recently took part in the All-Ireland Inter Schools Hunter Trials which was held recently in Co. Wexford. Heather took part in the senior individual competition and put in an excellent performance.
