Athletics
The Munster indoor athletics championships took place on Tuesday March 8th in Nenagh. A large team from Bandon Grammar School took part.
In Junior Boys Shot Putt Colin Kingston came first and Sam O'Dwyer second. Fintan Shaughnessy placed first in the long jump event.
In the track events Louisa Keane came 1st in the 1200m and 2nd in the 600m and Joey Henchy came 2nd in the 60m.
We also had a number of relay teams taking part.
Our Intermediate girls team came third, minor girls came 2nd and the minor boys came third in their race.
Well done to all involved.
Rugby
In the U-17 ten aside tournament second phase we again performed admirably beating CBC, drawing with Rockwell after conceding a try in dying seconds and finally beating Pres.
Another fantastic performance from the lads. Well done!
Camogie
Bandon Grammar's Camogie team recently took part in a tournament against Kanturk and North Pres.
This was a 9 a-side tournment and began with a loss to North Pres in a tough game. The next game was a hard fought victory against Kanturk which eventually led to us reaching the final against North Pres. Unfortunately having a small squad cost us at this stage with North Pres taking the honours as Bandon Grammar tired in the later stages of the game.
Star performers were Sinead Moloney, Aisling O'Leary and Laura Nyhan.
