Hockey
Our Senior Boys team have departed for Dublin to take part in the Irish Schools Competition. Good luck to coaches and players in what is sure to be a great experience.
In the recent Inter Provincial Competitions held in Dublin Bandon Grammar was extremely well represented. The Munster U-18's were captained by Sarah Sullivan. Nicola Kerr and Vicky Burns also made the team. The Munster U-16's were captained by Acacia Taylor and also contained S.Houston, L. Buttimer, K. Coombes and G. Lee. All performed extremely well and deserve congratulations for their commitment to hockey.
The recent first year Hockey Marathon proved a great success. All of first year were involved on the pitch and were coached, managed and refereed by the fourth years. Money raised was donated to Christian Aid.
Rugby
Our Under 15's played Ard Scoil Rís in a recent league game in Limerick. They lost but produced a competitive, battling performance.
First Years took part in a blitz held in Newtown School in Waterford on Wednesday 20th. They played three games, beating Midleton College 10-0, Waterpark 15-0 and finally beating the hosts Newtown 12-7 to round of a great day for all involved. Excellent performances from Dylan Moss-O'Callaghan, Josh Landzaad, Matthew and David Jennings as well as Maurice Allshire stood out but the highlight was the team spirit shown by the boys. Well done!
