Rugby

Kerry Desmond and Richard Kingston played for Munster A against Leinster A this week in a tight match that Munster won narrowly. Richard scored a magnificent try intercepting the ball on his own 22 and running the length of the pitch to touch down.

 

Also this week our senior team bear Clonmel by 44-10.

 

1st Year Sports

Over the course of the last month our first years have been introduced to our team sports with a host of hockey and rugby matches and blitzes. Thus far they have been very successful and are showing huge promise.

 

Hockey

3 of our girls hockey teams travelled to Kilkenny this week. Our Junior A team lost 2-0, the form 2 A team won 1-0 with Dion Carey getting the goal and our form 2 B team lost 2-0.

 

Our senior boys team take on touring oppositon from Aberdeen, Scotland this Saturday morning at 11am. This is part of their continued preparations for the Irish Schools Championships.

 

Cappanalea / Work Experience

This week half of form IV are in Cappanalea Outdoor Pursuits Centre sampling the skills of abseiling, canoeing, hiking, camping and all the other team building exercises that go with it. The other half are on work experience and the groups will switch places next week.

A big thank you to Mr. Powell and Ms. Chambers who have accompanied our group to Cappanalea this week.

 

ISPCA

This week also saw a visit from the ISPCA to talk to our third years about animal care and animal cruelty. A special thank you is due to Mr. Domoney for organising this visit.
