Rugby

In rugby this week a big congratulations goes to Darren Sweetnam who was included in the Munster U-19 panel for the game against Connacht this Saturday.

Also Kerry Desmond and Richard Kingston were called up to the Munster A squad this week

 

TY Information Evening

Our annual Transition Year Parents information evening was held this past Wednesday in the McCutcheon hall. Thanks to Ms. McHugh for organising this event which proved extremely successful.

Also present at the event were Mr. Buckley who spoke on career guidance, Mrs. McCarthy O'Brien who spoke about Gaisce and Mr. Warren who talked about outdoor pursuits.

 

Dressage

During the Summer form V student Georgina Lee competed for Ireland in the BYRDS U-25 home international dressage show. This was a competition held over 2 days in Rowallen, Scotland.

Well done to Georgina on representing her country.

 

Junior Certificate Results

Best of luck to all our students who receive their Junior Cert results this coming Wednesday September 14th. Results will be distributed in the school at 3pm.

 

Biennial Meeting of the School Committee / Parents Association

This meeting will be held in the McCutcheon hall on the 28th of September at 7pm. The new committee will be elected.

Guest speaker on the night is Ms. Phil O'Flynn who will talk on the subject of "How to communicate with your teenager."

 

Fundraising Auction

A reminder that the fundraising auction will be held on November 5th and that all donations are still welcome.
