Jennifer Barry lands role in ‘Young Offenders’ TV Series

Jennifer Barry (Form V) is certainly beginning to fulfill her dream to become a Actor . This year she won the Liam Mulcahy Perpetual Cup for performing a scene from a movie, with her portrayal of Nancy from Oliver. As a result she was then invited to perform in the winners section and she won the overall senior student performance at Feis Matiu 2017. The Adjudicator was brought to tears and called her performance “ Flawless”.
As part of her Transition Year programme Jennifer set goals for herself and decided to reconnect with her old school drama Teacher Pam Golden, and under the guidance of Pam, Jennifer prepared and entered the Feis in May. She took her Gold Medal in Acting/ Drama with the London Victoria College , and not only did she receive Distinction but got 100%.
During her prep time for the exam she received an invite for students to Audition for the new “Young Offenders “TV series.  Jennifer applied with her own devised video script. After 3 rounds of auditions and hundreds of applicants Jennifer was shell shocked to discover she had landed a supporting role in the series, which will be aired in early 2018.
